Cambridge Rose Point pattern is probably the most popular of all of the Cambridge Elegant Glass patterns. Produced from 1936 to 1953.

If you are a beginning collector of Rose Point, the good news is that this lovely elegant glass pattern has not be reproduced. There are a few things to note about this pattern though. It was produced on several Cambridge numbered blanks including the lines 3500, 3400 and 3900. There are several other blanks as well and you will want to familiarize yourself with them.

When I first came across Rose Point many years ago…. Let me begin again…When I first came across what I thought was Rose Point, I was elated …but not for long. It turned out that I had purchased several Cherokee Rose tumblers made by Tiffin Glass Company. It is a lovely pattern to be sure, but this novice mistook it for Rose Point. There are several other patterns that look very similar and made by other glass companies. They have a medallion as the central theme of the pattern and flowers and vines all around. When looking at a piece of Rose Point, you will want to look for that medallion containing 2 open flowers. The medallion is surrounded by vines, open roses and rosebuds. Trailing at the bottom of the medallion are several bell flowers.
