When packaging a vase, goblet, or any other item that has an open interior space, it is important to fill that space. Use either some peanuts or tissue paper so that there won’t be any “void” space in your box. Wrap well in the bubble wrap – best not to skimp here – and then leave plently of room so that the item rests firmly in the middle of plenty of peanuts.

Using tape that is at least 2.6 mil will assure that the tape will stay in place and not start to crinkle as it goes through the shipping-to-delivery process. I always use a large red FRAGILE label on all of my packages. It is worth the little extra investment to insure an uneventful and safe trip.
