    English Hobnail is one of those depression patterns that was made forever. The Westmoreland Glass Company produced English Hobnail from the 1920’s until the 1970’s. A wide variety of colors were made as well, amber, cobalt, blue, turquoise blue, pink,  green, black, amber and red. There are many reproductions of the red, amber and pink so be aware.

    Some new collectors confuse English Hobnail with Hocking’s Miss America so learn your patterns before investing.

    • ]]>     Della Robbia is a Westmoreland Glass Company pattern produced from the 1920’s until the 1940’s. It’s a pattern consisting of pears and apples. It was made in crystal, luster colors, green and amber. Some of the crystal items had hand painted colors on the design portion of the glass. These are the popular items with collectors. As the applied colors are fragile they tend to be found worn, especial if they have been run through a dishwasher (something you should never do with depression glass).  Items that are worn will be worth much less than pristine examples.
